PartnerTap overview

PartnerTap automates account and opportunity mapping between a vendor and its partners, then builds a co-selling motion on top of it. Partners share account lists, the platform identifies customer overlap and accounts with a high propensity to buy, and sales teams work the resulting joint targets. Beyond the mapping itself it covers multi-partner sales plays, shared pipeline visibility, and reporting that attributes pipeline and revenue to the partners who sourced or influenced it.

What separates it from other ecosystem platforms

Enterprise shape. Account mapping as a category is crowded, but most of it is built for software companies mapping against a handful of technology partners. PartnerTap is aimed at large indirect organisations with many partner types and complex account teams, and the customers it names reflect that: SAP, ADP, HPE, Lumen and TD SYNNEX are distribution and enterprise channel businesses rather than mid-market SaaS.

The second point is the attribution reporting. Mapping tells you an overlap exists; the harder question, and the one that decides whether a partner program keeps its budget, is how much pipeline and closed revenue partners actually drove. PartnerTap positions that reporting as its core executive deliverable rather than a secondary dashboard.

Two things to weigh. Multi-partner mapping only works when partners participate, so value depends on getting counterparties to share data, which is a commercial and legal exercise as much as a technical one. And this is a mapping and co-sell layer, not a PRM: there is no portal, no enablement, no MDF and no payouts, so it sits alongside one.

Who it fits

Large enterprises and distributors with established indirect channels, multiple partner types, and named account teams that need to coordinate across them. Smaller programs are better served by tools that bundle mapping into a broader platform.

Ownership and company background

Based in Seattle, Washington, and venture backed. The company was co-founded by Cassandra Gholston and Autumn Bayles. Sources disagree on the founding year, giving 2015 or 2016, and the discrepancy has not been resolved here.

Integrations

Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and HubSpot are named. PartnerTap also appears as a named integration inside Impartner's platform, so the two are commonly deployed together.
