hotglue
Embedded integration infrastructure with a white-label connection widget, priced by the number of customer tenants that actually sync.
Facts checked against primary sources on 6 August 2026.
hotglue is integration infrastructure that a B2B software company embeds in its own product. Customers connect their systems through a white-label widget, and hotglue handles the authentication, the connectors and the data pipelines behind it. Transformation logic is written in Python, so the mapping and cleaning steps stay in a language a data or backend engineer already knows.
What separates it from other embedded platforms
The pricing meter. hotglue charges by active tenant, defined as a customer that has run at least one sync in the past month, and states unlimited connectors on every plan. Most of this category charges by connector, by API call or by seat, so a vendor with many integrations but few customers on each one pays differently here than elsewhere. It suits a product where each customer connects one or two systems and the breadth of the catalogue is the vendor's problem rather than the customer's.
Being Python-native is the second difference. Teams that already do their data work in Python keep their tooling instead of learning a proprietary transformation language.
The trade-off is that this is an engineering product with no visual builder for non-technical staff, and the plan structure is not published, so the cost of a given tenant count has to come from a sales conversation.
Who it fits
B2B software companies with data-heavy integrations, especially where each customer's system needs its own mapping, and teams comfortable owning transformation code. hotglue publishes a startup package for companies that have raised less than $5 million or are bootstrapped below $1 million in revenue, which lowers the entry point for early-stage products.
Ownership and company background
hotglue went through Y Combinator's Summer 2021 batch and is based in Washington, DC. Y Combinator records a 2020 founding year and a team of 13, while LinkedIn lists 2021, so treat the year as unsettled and prefer the accelerator record until the company confirms it. The company announced a $4 million seed round led by 8VC on 29 October 2024. Seed is the last confirmed stage, and no acquisition or merger was found in this review.
Pricing
Not published. Basic, Pro, Enterprise and the qualifying Startup package all require contact with sales, and the active-tenant allowance is negotiated per contract. Basic includes the white-label widget, managed authentication, custom field mapping and the Python transformation layer. Pro adds a white-label API and callback URL, observability integrations and on-premises connectors. Enterprise adds an SLA, a connector sandbox and custom region hosting.
Integrations
Connectors are unlimited on every plan, and the transformation layer allows a custom connector to be written against any API the catalogue does not cover.
