This guide is Model 5 of the 5-model Partnership Architecture Framework. It addresses the critical human element, who you need, how to structure them, and how to build the right culture.

The Organizational Model addresses the critical, multi-disciplinary human element of partnerships. It defines how the partnership function is structured, what competencies and behaviors are required, how it integrates within the broader company, and how it scales in alignment with the company's growth to ensure alignment, trust, and speed.

The organizational challenge: Even perfect strategy and operations fail without the right people and structure:

  • One person doing everything (recruiting, enabling, managing, reporting)
  • No clear ownership when problems arise
  • Partnerships viewed as "nice to have" instead of strategic
  • Team structure that worked at 10 partners breaks at 50 partners
  • Cross-functional conflicts (sales vs. partnerships, product vs. partnerships)

This model solves these structural and cultural challenges.
