GTIA DACH Community

The DACH Community is the regional group inside the Global Technology Industry Association for IT channel professionals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It is one of several regional communities in the association, and it is the one that matters if your channel work is German-speaking, because most partnership communities operate in English and are organised around North American programs.

Recent topics include cybersecurity trends, emerging technologies, managed service provider practice and women in technology.

Who it is for

IT service providers and managed service providers in the DACH region, and the vendors and distributors that sell through them. This is a channel community in the traditional sense, closer to the reseller and distribution world than to software alliance and ecosystem roles.

Who runs it

An executive council leads the community, chaired by Otto Schobert with René Claus as vice chair, with members drawn from companies including Acronis, Pax8, Wire, Sophos and MailStore. Katrin Giza is the community manager.

How to join

Full association membership is paid. IT service provider dues are EUR 249 a year in the euro region, and vendor and distributor packages are quoted individually. A free subscriber level gives limited access to selected resources, events and online discussion groups, which is a reasonable way to see the community before paying. Join through the association site or contact the DACH community manager. A member count for the regional community is not published.
