Solution Partner vs. System Integrator
The two terms overlap and are often used interchangeably, but they are not identical. A System Integrator (SI) is a specific type of Solution Partner whose defining activity is integration, combining products from multiple vendors into one working system. Solution Partner is the broader umbrella: it includes SIs, but also consultancies and vertical solution providers that package your product with services without necessarily performing heavy multi-system integration. In short, every SI is a Solution Partner, but not every Solution Partner is an SI.
